This is an UPGRADE licence from Live INTRO to Live Suite - you must already own Live INTRO for this to work.

New in Ableton Live 12 Live’s latest creative features, devices and sounds include:

●    Auto Shift: use scales to keep every note in tune with your track and create harmonies from monophonic signals using MIDI sidechain.
●    Drum Sampler: this flexible device pairs essential sampling controls with simple yet powerful effects, giving you a faster way to flip, mangle and fine-tune your beats.

●    Auto-tagging: search your library faster with Live 12’s filters – Live automatically assigns tags to VST3 plugins and any sample in your library under 60 seconds long.

●    Improved Limiter and Saturator: Limiter gets a complete overhaul – with updated metering, Mid/Side routing, True Peak, Soft Clip, and Maximize modes. Saturator sees the addition of a Bass Shaper curve ideal for low-end processing, as well as a more focused UI.

●    MIDI Transformations and Generators: add ornaments and articulations, connect successive notes and chords, create curves for MPE parameters, simulate the strum of a guitar, and more. Take advantage of MIDI Generators that let you conjure up playful and original ideas for you to develop and turn into your own. And go even further with advanced Max for Live Transformations and Generators.

●    Sound Similarity: start with a sample and tell Live’s browser to find comparable sounds and instrument or drum presets or use Sound Similarity to find and swap comparable samples in Simpler or Drum Rack.

●    Tuning systems: work outside 12-tone equal temperament, and use your chosen tuning with Live’s devices as well as any MPE-capable plugin or hardware.


●    Keys and Scales: transform or generate ideas within the confines of the selected scale, or sync the scale of MIDI devices to the clip being played.

●    New devices: create everything from subtle and precise mastering-grade warmth to wild and unpredictable sound degradation with Roar, Live’s new saturation and coloring effect. Explore new textures and timbres with the scale-aware sound engines of Meld. Or get even more expressive with Robert Henke’s now MPE-capable granular synthesis device, Granulator III.

●    MIDI Editor improvements: filter, select and edit MIDI notes in new ways. Split a note in two, or chop it into several parts. Select notes by time, pitch, velocity, chance, duration, and several other properties. Get access to more tools from the Note Utilities panel, like Fit to Scale, Humanize, Add Intervals, and more.

●    Workflow improvements: stack Live’s Clip and Device Views to see more of what’s going on in your track at a glance. Use Live’s Mixer in Arrangement View to get more information and control without moving to Session View. Navigate your project more easily with Live’s improved Browser, search history and undo history. And freeze and flatten a track in just one step.


●    Accessibility and navigation improvements: visually impaired musicians can now access core workflows in Live with screen readers and other assistive technologies, and use new keyboard shortcuts to navigate to nearly every part of Live.
