AlphaTheta HDJ-F9 Professional Wireless DJ Headphones with SonicLink

The AlphaTheta HDJ-F9 are professional on-ear wireless DJ headphones designed for accurate monitoring without the restrictions of a cable. Featuring AlphaTheta's SonicLink ultra-low-latency wireless technology, newly developed 40mm drivers, effective sound isolation and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, the HDJ-F9 combine the performance required for professional DJing with the convenience of everyday wireless headphones.

SonicLink Wireless Compatibility

To use these headphones wirelessly for DJing via SonicLink, you'll need a compatible DJ mixer or controller with a built-in SonicLink transmitter, such as the AlphaTheta DJM-V5, XDJ-AZ or XDJ-AN. If your equipment doesn't have SonicLink built in, you'll need to purchase the AlphaTheta HP-TX01 SonicLink Transmitter separately, which connects to your mixer's headphone output. The headphones also support standard Bluetooth for everyday listening and can be used with the included cable for traditional wired DJ monitoring. Please note that Bluetooth is not recommended for DJing due to audio latency.

Why choose the AlphaTheta HDJ-F9?

• SonicLink wireless technology with ultra-low latency as low as 9ms
• SonicLink Touch Pairing for instant connection with compatible DJ equipment
• Newly developed 40mm drivers with powerful bass and effective sound isolation
• Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint connectivity for two devices simultaneously
• Up to 9 hours of SonicLink playback or 25 hours via Bluetooth with the Status LED switched off

SonicLink ultra-low-latency wireless DJ monitoring

The HDJ-F9 feature AlphaTheta's SonicLink wireless technology, developed specifically for DJ performance. With latency as low as 9 milliseconds, SonicLink provides a responsive wireless monitoring experience suitable for beatmatching, cueing and scratching.

Unlike conventional Bluetooth headphones, where audio delay can make accurate DJ monitoring difficult, SonicLink allows you to hear your music with minimal delay while moving freely around the DJ booth.

SonicLink Touch Pairing

Connecting to compatible DJ equipment is simple thanks to SonicLink Touch Pairing. Simply touch the headphones against the designated pairing area on supported equipment, such as the AlphaTheta DJM-V5, to establish a wireless connection without navigating through pairing menus.

The HDJ-F9 also support conventional SonicLink pairing with compatible equipment featuring a built-in transmitter, including the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ and XDJ-AN. For other DJ mixers, controllers and audio equipment, the separately available AlphaTheta HP-TX01 SonicLink Transmitter provides additional wireless connectivity options.

Powerful bass and detailed sound

The HDJ-F9 use newly developed 40mm dynamic drivers engineered to reproduce powerful low frequencies while maintaining clarity throughout the midrange and treble.

A dedicated bass-reflex chamber in each housing helps reproduce the attack of kick drums and basslines with greater definition, while the PEEK-PU-PEEK composite diaphragm reduces unwanted vibration and distortion. This balanced sound makes it easier to identify individual elements of a track when mixing in demanding environments.

Effective sound isolation for loud DJ booths

Despite their compact on-ear design, the HDJ-F9 provide a high level of passive sound isolation. Their optimised internal construction helps reduce surrounding noise, allowing DJs to monitor tracks clearly in loud clubs and performance environments without needing to increase the volume excessively.

Comfortable and adaptable on-ear design

The HDJ-F9 have been designed to accommodate different DJ monitoring styles. Swivel-mounted hangers allow the earcups to move naturally, making it comfortable to monitor with both ears, listen through a single earcup or rest the headphones around your neck and shoulders.

A flexible silicone headband provides a comfortable fit, while the adjustable die-cast aluminium sliders add durability for regular professional use. Weighing approximately 285g without the cable, the headphones offer a practical balance between comfort, portability and robust construction.

Bluetooth 5.3 for everyday listening

Alongside SonicLink, the HDJ-F9 include Bluetooth 5.3 for listening to music, watching videos and taking calls from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers.

Bluetooth multipoint connectivity allows the headphones to remain connected to two devices simultaneously, making it easy to switch between a phone and computer. Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair are also supported for convenient connection with compatible devices.

Customise your headphones with HEADPHONES CONNECT

The dedicated HEADPHONES CONNECT app gives you additional control over the HDJ-F9 from your smartphone. You can customise the colour and brightness of the headphones' Status LED, rename your headphones, check the battery level and configure automatic power-off settings.

The app also provides voice assistant settings, firmware updates and a Find My Headphones function that plays a sound to help locate misplaced headphones. App settings are configured through Bluetooth and can be retained when switching to SonicLink.

Long battery life and quick charging

The HDJ-F9 provide up to 9 hours of playback using SonicLink or up to 25 hours using Bluetooth with the Status LED switched off. With the LED illuminated, playback time is approximately 7 hours via SonicLink or 13 hours via Bluetooth.

A full recharge takes approximately 2.5 hours through USB-C, while a 30-minute charge provides around 2.5 hours of additional playback, making it convenient to top up the battery between performances.

Wired connection when required

For traditional wired DJ monitoring, the HDJ-F9 include a detachable 1.2m coiled cable that extends to approximately 3 metres. A screw-on 6.3mm jack adapter is also supplied, allowing connection to professional DJ mixers and other equipment with a standard headphone output.

This gives you the flexibility to use SonicLink for wireless DJing, Bluetooth for everyday listening or a conventional cable whenever required.

Designed for professional use and easy transport

The HDJ-F9 feature a minimalist design with durable components developed for regular professional use. The headphones have passed international durability tests, while their flat-folding construction makes them easier to store and transport.

A carrying pouch is included to help protect the headphones when travelling between gigs, rehearsals and studios.
