The Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 brings Eventide’s iconic multi-effects platform into a new generation, combining studio-quality sound, expanded creative possibilities, and a streamlined user experience in a compact pedalboard-friendly format. Building on the success of the original H9 series, the H9 Gen 2 now includes the complete H90 algorithm collection, modern ARM processing, over 1,000 presets, and full onboard control without relying on an external app.

Designed for guitarists, bassists, vocalists, producers, and sound designers, the H9 Gen 2 combines the entire H9 Max collection with the expanded capabilities of the H90 platform. With 74 algorithms covering delay, reverb, pitch shifting, modulation, granular processing, vocal effects, looping, and more, it offers an enormous range of creative tools within a single pedal.

Powered by H90 technology

Built on the same modern ARM processing platform found in the H90 and H9000, the H9 Gen 2 delivers improved performance, higher-fidelity audio processing, and seamless preset spillover for smooth transitions between sounds. Eventide’s proprietary SIFT (Spectral Instantaneous Frequency Tracking) technology provides highly accurate polyphonic pitch shifting for advanced effects including Polysynth, Polyphony, Polyflex, and Prism Shift. 

Designed for performance

The H9 Gen 2 introduces a larger display, redesigned interface, three Quick Knobs, and dedicated control buttons that make navigating presets and editing parameters faster and more intuitive. Select Mode, Bank Mode, and Perform Mode allow players to organise sounds efficiently and access effects quickly during live performances. HotKnob and HotSwitch controls provide instant access to key parameters for expressive real-time control. 

Full control without an app

Unlike previous generations, the H9 Gen 2 allows complete parameter editing directly from the pedal itself. Eventide Control connectivity remains available via USB-C and Bluetooth for Mac and iPad users, but every function can now be accessed without relying on external devices. Legacy H9 presets remain fully compatible, allowing existing users to move seamlessly to the new platform.

Flexible routing options including Wet/Dry and Pre/Post configurations make the H9 Gen 2 easy to integrate into pedalboards, amplifier effects loops, studio setups, and hybrid rigs. Stereo audio I/O, MIDI connectivity, expression pedal support, auxiliary control options, and dual instrument/line-level operation ensure compatibility with virtually any modern setup.
