Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-4 DIY Performance Mixer

The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-4 is a compact six-channel DIY performance mixer designed to bring synths, drum machines, modular gear and other desktop instruments together in one streamlined setup. Six channels for compact hardware setups

The NTS-4 provides four stereo channels and two mono channels, allowing up to 10 individual audio signals to be brought together in one compact mixer. Each channel features dedicated level control, MUTE, CUE monitoring and FX send, giving you direct hands-on control when performing or building a hardware-based studio setup.

All six main inputs use compact 3.5mm connections, making the NTS-4 particularly well suited to Korg volca units, Nu:Tekt instruments, desktop synthesizers, grooveboxes and other compact electronic music equipment.

Connect synths and modular equipment

The two mono inputs can accommodate both line-level and modular-level signals using a switchable attenuator, making it easier to incorporate Eurorack and modular equipment alongside conventional desktop instruments.

Dedicated SEND and RETURN connections are also provided, allowing external effects processors to become part of your performance or studio signal chain.

Built-in SEND effects

The NTS-4 includes two independent stereo effects engines for adding processing to individual channels through the FX sends. Available SEND effects include Delay, Ping Pong Delay, Hall Reverb, Slap Reverb and Chorus, providing a useful selection of spatial and modulation processing without requiring additional hardware.

TOTAL FX for shaping the complete mix

A dedicated TOTAL FX section processes the overall mix and provides another layer of hands-on sound shaping. Effects include LPF, HPF, Isolator, Flanger, Phaser, Decimator, Drive, Distortion, Compressor and Limiter, giving you plenty of options for transitions, creative processing and controlling the final mix.

CUE monitoring and performance controls

Dedicated CUE and MUTE controls are provided for each channel. CUE lets you monitor a source through headphones before introducing it into the main mix, while the individual MUTE controls can be used to quickly bring instruments in and out during a live performance.

24-bit USB audio and MIDI

USB-C provides 24-bit audio and MIDI connectivity for recording, streaming and integration with a DAW. This allows hardware and software instruments to be incorporated into the same setup, while your performance can also be recorded directly to a compatible computer or mobile device.

MIDI received over USB can be routed through the NTS-4's dedicated MIDI OUT, providing a convenient way to control external MIDI hardware from your computer-based setup.

Studio and live connectivity

Standard 1/4-inch left and right main outputs make it easy to connect the NTS-4 to studio monitors, PA equipment and other professional audio hardware. A dedicated headphone output provides CUE monitoring, while the SEND and RETURN connections make it easy to expand the system with external effects.

Compact DIY Nu:Tekt design

As part of Korg's Nu:Tekt range, the NTS-4 is supplied as a DIY kit designed for straightforward assembly. Once built, its steel body provides a stable and durable platform for everyday studio and live use.
