Flagship 3,800W Performance with 135dB Maximum SPL

The MAUI 66 G3 sits at the top of the LD Systems MAUI range, delivering the power and headroom required for larger audiences, demanding live performances and professional event production.

Its high-efficiency Class-D amplifier produces 1,900W RMS and 3,800W peak power, achieving a maximum sound pressure level of 135dB. This substantial output allows the system to reproduce everything from detailed vocals and acoustic instruments to powerful electronic music with excellent clarity and impact.

The fully active 4-way architecture uses dedicated driver groups and amplifier channels for each frequency band, with crossover points at 200Hz, 700Hz and 1,800Hz. This carefully engineered arrangement ensures controlled, coherent sound reproduction across the entire frequency range.

Deep, Powerful Bass from an 18-Inch Neodymium Subwoofer

At the heart of the MAUI 66 G3 is a high-performance 18-inch neodymium woofer housed in a specially designed, low-tuned bass-reflex enclosure. Delivering low-frequency extension down to an impressive 28Hz, it produces deep, punchy bass with the authority required for bass-heavy DJ sets, live music and larger events.

Elliptical, airflow-optimised bass reflex ports help minimise turbulence and unwanted port noise, allowing the subwoofer to maintain clean, defined low-frequency reproduction even at high output levels.

For professional DJs and event providers who want substantial bass performance without immediately needing separate additional subwoofers, the MAUI 66 G3 offers an exceptionally capable foundation.

20 Column Drivers for Outstanding Clarity and Extended Reach

The MAUI 66 G3 features an advanced two-piece column containing 16 × 3.5-inch neodymium midrange drivers and four 1-inch compression drivers. This carefully arranged driver configuration delivers detailed midrange reproduction, clear vocals and precise high frequencies across the audience area.

The upper column incorporates newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimised waveguides to provide consistent, controlled sound dispersion. Two additional midrange drivers are positioned above the high-frequency section, improving the system's reach and maintaining excellent midrange clarity over longer distances.

This extended coverage is particularly beneficial for outdoor performances and open-air events, where maintaining vocal intelligibility and sound quality across a larger listening area can be challenging.

The lower column features horn-loaded midrange drivers for increased efficiency, substantial headroom and powerful vocal reproduction, helping the MAUI 66 G3 maintain clarity even during demanding performances.

Wide 120° × 25° Coverage for Professional Sound Reinforcement

With a dispersion pattern of 120° horizontally and 25° vertically, the MAUI 66 G3 delivers wide, controlled sound coverage across the audience.

Its advanced column design distributes midrange and high-frequency energy efficiently, helping to maintain consistent sound quality while reducing unwanted dispersion outside the intended listening area.

Whether used for live bands, professional DJ performances, corporate productions or outdoor entertainment, this controlled coverage helps deliver clear, balanced sound throughout the venue.

Passive Cardioid Column Design Reduces Stage Noise

The MAUI 66 G3 features a passive cardioid column design that directs more sound energy towards the audience while reducing unwanted sound behind the system.

Rearward sound radiation is attenuated by up to 18dB, helping to create a cleaner stage environment and reducing unwanted sound reaching performers and microphones.

This directional performance is especially useful for live bands, vocalists and event productions where controlling stage noise and maintaining clear monitoring conditions are important.

Expandable Bass with Cardioid Subwoofer Configuration

For larger events or applications requiring additional low-frequency reinforcement, the MAUI 66 G3 can be expanded using a second MAUI 66 G3 SUB.

Positioning the additional subwoofer facing backwards and selecting the Cardioid preset extends the system's directional sound control into the low-frequency range. This increases bass energy towards the audience while noticeably reducing unwanted low-frequency output behind the system.

Alternatively, positioning the second subwoofer facing forwards provides an additional 6dB of low-frequency sound pressure, making it an excellent option for DJs, festivals and event providers who need maximum bass impact.

DynX Gen. 2 DSP for Clean, Reliable Performance

The LD Systems MAUI 66 G3 incorporates advanced DynX Gen. 2 digital signal processing to maintain clarity, balance and consistent performance across a wide range of listening levels.

Integrated peak, RMS and thermal limiters continuously manage the system's performance, helping to prevent unwanted distortion and protect the components during demanding use.

Combined with its dedicated amplifier channels and optimised crossover configuration, this processing allows the MAUI 66 G3 to deliver powerful, controlled sound even when operating at high output levels.

Bluetooth 5.4 and Flexible Professional Connectivity

The MAUI 66 G3 offers a practical selection of professional audio connections for straightforward integration into existing sound systems.

Two XLR/TRS combo inputs accommodate compatible audio sources, while two Thru outputs allow convenient signal distribution and system expansion. A dedicated subwoofer output provides additional flexibility when adding low-frequency reinforcement.

Built-in Bluetooth 5.4 supports SBC and AAC audio codecs, allowing convenient wireless music playback from compatible devices. This is particularly useful for background music, event playlists and situations where a wired audio connection isn't required.

Rugged Construction for Professional Touring and Events

Built for the demands of regular professional use, the MAUI 66 G3 combines a durable birch plywood subwoofer enclosure with rugged aluminium column sections.

The subwoofer features a protective polyurea coating designed to withstand everyday handling and transportation. Four ergonomic carrying handles make positioning and moving the subwoofer more manageable, while recessed handles in the columns provide additional convenience during setup and dismantling.

This robust construction makes the MAUI 66 G3 a practical choice for mobile DJs, touring performers, rental companies and event production teams who need equipment capable of handling frequent use.

Professional Sound with Straightforward Setup

Despite its substantial power and impressive bass performance, the MAUI 66 G3 retains the convenient handling that has made the MAUI series popular with professional entertainers.

The two-piece column arrangement simplifies assembly and reduces the need for separate speaker stands and complicated equipment configurations. This allows performers and event providers to achieve powerful full-range sound without the lengthy setup associated with many conventional PA systems.

For professionals working across multiple venues and events, the combination of high output, controlled dispersion and convenient handling makes the MAUI 66 G3 an extremely versatile solution.
